Albums
An
average
album consists
of 10 to
12 songs
and is approximately
40 to 45
minutes
in length.
Although
some albums
are done
rather quickly,
producing
a professional
album is
a sophisticated
process
requiring
time and
careful
listening.
The typical
recording
time for
a well rehearsed
band’s
album varies
from 1 to
4 hours
per song
depending
on the complexity
of the music
and the
number of
members
in the group.
The music
is literally
put under
a “microscope”
and all
imperfections
are removed
and replaced
until the
best possible
performance
is achieved.

Demos
An
common
demo
is
2
to
3
songs.
Demos
can
be
be
used
for
many
different
purposes
such
as
promoting
or
“pitching”
an
original
song
to
an
interested
party.
It
is
a
good
idea
to
give
as
much
care
to
a
demo
as
to
an
album
so
that
your
very
best
performance
can
be
heard.
Many
doors
can
open
to
a
client
with
an
excellent
demo
placed
in
the
right
hands.
Soundtracks
Some
vocal
groups
or
individuals
record
vocals
to
pre-recorded
tracks
that
are
obtained
from
a
soundtrack
company. |
 |
Marketing
these type
of recordings
require
licensing
rights from
the company
in which
the track
was obtained.
Soundtracks
can also
be made
at Master’s
Touch from
a group’s
original
recording
for use
by the vocalists
of the group
when the
rest of
the band
is absent.
Noise
Reduction
Master’s
Touch uses
sophisticated
software
and equipment
to remove
noise from
recordings
that are
difficult
to hear
or discern.
We can greatly
enhance
a recording’s
clarity
and help
isolate
voices from
a noisy
background.
Vocal
Enhancement
Pitch
correction
software
is available
for use
during album
or demo
production.
This technique
removes
pitch imperfections
in vocal
performances
without
changing
the character
or tone
of the voice.
It can make
a great
performance
sound even
better and
cause background
vocals to
blend flawlessly
in the mix.
Tape
To Cd Conversion
We
can transfer
recordings
originally
made on
cassette
over to
cd for personal
use. The
cd medium
has many
advantages
such as
longer shelf
life and
quicker
access to
the songs.
Cd’s
have almost
completely
replaced
cassettes.
The above
also applies
to old records
and reel
to reel
tapes. Please
contact
us for pricing.
Duplication
Small
quantities
of cds,
dvds or
tapes can
be produced
in house
at our facilities.
Quantities
over 100
with professional
graphics
are better
done at
a professional
duplicating
facility
such as
www.discmakers.com.
Please mention
us when
contacting
them and
ask for
our factory
representative
Gus Compson.
Also
note that
cds are
made using
two different
processes.
The cheaper
process
is done
with a burner
using blank
cdr discs.
A much more
reliable
and professional
process
is done
through
what is
known as
glass mastering.
This is
the process
that is
used by
major recording
labels and
found in
most professionally
produced
packaging.
Don’t
settle for
less if
at all possible
for some
players
have trouble
playing
cd’s
made from
cdr’s.
